The ETS technique involves:
· Minimal incision approximately 2-3mm, on each side
· Single lumen endotracheal tube without lung collapse
· Precise T2 level cut, with T2-T3 for axillary hyperhidrosis
· Patients go home the same day and no sutures are
required
· Kuntz nerves are eliminated

What are some possible complications?
Apart from certain risks that are common to all forms of
surgery like bleeding or infection, possible complication
include pleuritis, hemo or pneumothorax, neuritis, and Horner's
syndrome.
What are the side effects?
The most common is compensatory sweating. Can occur on any
part of the body, however it is more frequently seen on the
thighs or trunk. The incidence varies between 50% and 70%.
It is usually mild and well tolerated by the patients.
